One such person is Aman Bakshi, who shifted from Delhi to Dehradun. He loved to eat Matar Kulcha and Matar Kachori of Delhi. He searched for these things at many places in Dehradun but could not find them, so he opened his own restaurant in Dehradun itself, named Shri Ji Restaurant, to serve the taste of Matar Kulche and Matar Kachori to the people of Doon. Is. People are liking their taste very much. Although Chole Kulcha is available at many places in Dehradun, Matar Kulcha is being served for the first time, whereas Matar Kachori also has its own taste.
Aman Bakshi told that his mother was from Paltan Bazar, Dehradun and his father was from Uttar Pradesh. His childhood was spent in Delhi, where he used to eat various types of street food. He was very fond of eating Matar Kulcha. A few years ago he came and settled in Dehradun. When he could not find his favorite thing to eat here, he opened a shop on Karnal Road, Dehradun, where he started making and serving Matar Kulcha and Matar Kachori. People liked its taste. He told that he gets the kulchas prepared by the bakery himself because he does not want to use too much flour in them. He makes kulchas by using less flour and more semolina so that it remains healthy. Apart from this, he also gets Kachori prepared by his own artisans.
Peas keep cooking on the stove
The specialty of the peas of Shree Ji restaurant is that the peas here are always cooked on low flame of the fireplace, due to which they get cooked well. Hot peas are made spicy by adding self-prepared spices, green chillies, onion, tomato, coriander, ginger, lemon juice and tamarind chutney. After this the kulchas are baked in butter. Kachori is also prepared in a similar manner.

If you also want to taste Matar Kulche and Matar Kachori by going to Shree Ji restaurant in Delhi, then you can taste them at two places. You can visit their restaurants located on Karnal Road and Paltan Bazaar. Here Matar Kulcha is served at Rs 60 per plate and Matar Kachori is served at Rs 50 per plate.
